Timi Da Black One (real name Dr Timileyin Akinmuda) was a member of Da Trybe, the hip-hop collective responsible for that smash hit ‘Oya’. Armed with two new singles Timi is set to take the ‘music bull’ by the horns once again. His album is scheduled for release later in the year.

It’s 6 pm and I’m panicking. On the invite that was sent out, the Hip Hop World Awards organizers had clearly stated that guests must be seated by 7 pm. Now, this is Naija, but somehow I believed that if I wasn’t there on time, I wouldn’t be allowed into the venue.
